Remote dismantling method for fuel assembly of FBR type reactor and device for using the same
Description
A fuel assembly is suspended by an assembly gripper, and transported while being cooled, kept standing vertically by inserting an entrance nozzle to a lower chuck of a dismantling device. Marking is applied over the entire length of a wrapper tube having one surface thereof as a reference surface. Each of the surfaces of the wrapper tube is cut successively and separated by an end mil. Lower end plugs of respective fuel pins are kept independently on every one row by a lower end plug clamping jig, and a bundle of fuel pins is secured by a vice and a pin bundle holding tool. With such procedures, the wrapper tube is withdrawn by using the assembly gripper while preventing the fuel pins from scattering. Only one row of the fuel pins is separated from the fuel pin bundle, a pin row-suspending tool is attached at the upper portion thereof, held by a pin handling arm and then taken out of the fuel pin bundle. With such procedures, the fuel assembly can be dismantled while keeping the fuel assembly standing vertically with no damages to fuel pins, so that fuel pins can be taken out under addressing management.
