Analysis of exclusive reactions in K-p-interactions at 32 GeV/c in terms of the multiparticle variables
- 1. Joint Inst. for Nuclear Research, Dubna (USSR)
Description
Exclusive channels in K-p interactions have been studied in terms of many-particle variables at 32 GeV/c. The fundamental properties of the event configuration in the phase space of final states with the number of charged particles from 4 to 10 can be described in the first approximation by the model of a cylindrical phase volume incorporating the effect of leading particles. The analysis performed shows that the periphericity of reactions decreases with increasing multiplicity. It has been found that the events with nondiffractionally produced light resonances in the K-p → K-pπ+π- channel give the main contribution to the alignment in a transversal plane and to the planarity effects relative elongation of the event configuration along the main axis increases with energy, whereas the planarity displays approximate scaling for final states with six and more particles
