Emission rate of preformed α particles in preequilibrium decay

Description
A new emission rate is proposed which implies that the α-preformation factor should be an order of magnitude less than suggested in previous preequilibrium α-spectra analyses. The proclaimed identity of preformation factors from α decay and nuclear reactions is shown to be invalid. (Auth.)
