Creators

Description

The McDermott-ETPM joint venture has been particularly active in recent months in the North Sea, where it has obtained a number of first-class contracts, notably for developing export capabilities for Norwegian gas. Since the beginning of 1995, co-operation between the two groups has been extended to cover new areas of activity operated jointly; the Far East, the Mediterranean and African countries not covered by the previous agreement. As concerns the North Sea, Statoil, on behalf of several Norwegian companies, has awarded to McDermott-ETPM West Inc. a contract for the installation of three large diameter gas trunklines in the North Sea: the Zeepipe IIB, NorFra - bringing Sleipner gas to Dunkirk, France - and Haltenlik gaslines. Mobil North Sea Ltd has awarded to McDermott-ETPM UK Ltd an EPIC contract for the offshore pipelines forming part of the fast-track development of the Galahad gas field. And Elf Petroland BV has awarded to Mc Dermott-ETPM of a contract for three fabrication and installation of the K5B platform in the Dutch sector. (authors). 3 tabs., 1 photo
