Description
With the '2nd symposium on materials research' the technological status of the Federal Republic was to be documented and balanced in the area of the new materials. Through overview lectures and subject-related lectures, results of fundamental research up to practical material developments are introduced. In the first volume, the polymers and metals topic circles are discussed; in the second volume, the ceramic materials, composites as well as the measurement technology, the testing method and analysis engineering; and in the third volume thin film technology and tribology. This was followed by a poster presentation (286 posters) on the subject of ceramic materials, powder metallurgy, high temperature and special materials, composites and new polymers. (MM)

Mit dem '2. Symposium Materialforschung' soll der technologische Stand der Bundesrepublik auf dem Gebiet der neuen Werkstoffe dokumentiert und bilanziert werden. Durch Uebersichts- und Fachvortraege werden Ergebnisse von der Grundlagenforschung bis hin zu anwendungsorientierten Werkstoffentwicklungen vorgestellt. Im ersten Band werden die Themenkreise: Polymere und Metalle, im zweiten Band die keramischen Stoffe, Verbundwerkstoffe sowie die Mess-, Pruef-und Analysentechnik und im dritten Band Schichten und Tribologie behandelt. Danach erfolgt eine Posterpraesentation (286 Poster) auf dem Gebiete der Keramik, Pulvermetallurgie, Hochtemperatur- und Sonderwerkstoffe, Verbundwerkstoffe und neuen Polymere. (MM)Additional details
