Description
The quality assurance of the radiation monitoring instruments has been carried out as a important activity for radiation safety. Method have been standardized in PNC for the maintenance and calibration techniques. In this paper, the current status of these technologies are outlined with examples of radiation instruments calibration facility in PNC Tokai Works. Maintenance techniques, such as basic principle of maintenance work methods, analysis of maintenance data and its feed backs, are summarized. Calibration techniques are also described on the items of the traceability system, calibration methods of gamma-rays, beta-rays, neutrons, radioactive gas concentration and radioactivity with actual examples.
