Isochronal annealing of pure and nitrogen doped neutron irradiated molybdenum
- 1. Lab. of Applied Physics II, Technical Univ. of Denmark, Building 307, DK-2800 Lyngby
Description
The interaction between defects and nitrogen has been studied by the positron annihilation technique. It is found that the presence of nitrogen increases the defect production during irradiation and delays the migration of vacancies by 400 K. The positron lifetime spectra are resolved into three components (bulk, vacancy/loop and void), and it is shown that resolving this type of spectra into only two components can be misleading, especially when measurements are performed with high resolution lifetime spectrometers (resolution (FWHM) better than 250 ps)
