Measuring monoenergetic gamma radiation intensity of the Ukrytie Object in the vertical direction by means of semiconductor spectrometry

Description

Results are described of measuring gamma spectra at the height of 500 m over the Ukrytie Object (UO). It is shown that: 1) the total activity of gamma-radiating radionuclides corresponds to the fuel mass of 1-1.5 t; 2) the model of UO gamma radiation and absorption corresponds to one point source with an absorber between a detector and the source. The measurements may serve as a characteristic for radiation situation improvement at the UO. 2 refs.; 3 tabs
