Nuclear fusion in microparticles initiated by an electron beam
Description
Experimental and theoretical investigations are discussed on nuclear synthesis by compressing microparticles with the aid of electron beams. A method is presented for beam skaring with an energy of about 1 MJ, pulse duration 10 ns focused on a target several mm in diameter. Such beams will yield a method for shaping the physics of compression and ignition of a DT mixture
