Description
The possibility of using nuclear reactor for synthesis of fluoroorganic compounds is studied. Radiation chemistry synthesis of CF3H from the CH4-CF4 system is carried out. Titanium ampules containing CH4 and DF4 are exposed to mixed n,α-radiation (dose rate of 9.0 x 1014 eV Cm-3 sec -1). The optimum yield of CF3H e=e molecule/100 eV is achieved at a CH4 concentration of 25-30 vol. %. The yield increases linearly with absorbed dose of radiation up to a CF3H concentration of 16 vol.%, and with increasing pressure up to 40 atm. when a constant value is achieved. Possibility of industrial production of CF3H by using energy of the 10B(n,α)7Li reaction in a reactor of the RBM-K type is shown
