On the determination of the radionuclides distribution coefficient in the system water - soil matrix

Description
Different methods for determining distribution coefficient of fission products in the system << porous solution - soil matrix >> are reviewed and analyzed. A methodology for the << in-situ >> Kd determination is proposed, which is based on the separate measurement of the activity of the soil and ground-water samples activity. Preliminary estimates of strontium-90 Kd-s for sandy soils of the Chernobyl exclusion zone are presented
