An OBE-model including the N-Δ-interaction, two-nucleon and nuclear matter results

Description

Recently a new one-boson-exchange potential (HM2) has been proposed in which the phenomenological cutoff of dipole type used so far (e.g. HM1) has been replaced by a so-called eikonal form factor, which arises from a simplified summation of multiple vector meson exchange processes. This scheme has been used so far only in high energy physics, e.g. in the vector dominance model of electron-proton scattering; however it is shown that in this way a good description of the nucleon-nucleon scattering phase parameters and the deuteron data (Esub(b)=2.2246 MeV, Q=0.2864 fm2, Psub(D)=4.32%) is also obtained, whereby the vector meson coupling constants to be used in this new fit are in fact close to the values obtained from high energy physics, very much in contrast to the values obtained in the former case.
