Growing and investigation of monocrystals in the Bi2O3-GeO2-Nb2O5(Ta2O5) system
Description
Monocrystals of β-BiMO4 (M=Nb, Ta) - and Bi5Nb3O15 phases are obtained as a result of crystallization of mixtures of the Bi2O3-GeO2-Nb2O5 (Ta2O5) system. No three-component compounds are observed in the system. X-ray diffraction studies of the crystals and their quantitative analysis have shown that the β-BiMO4 and Bi5Nb3O15 crystals can contain up to approximately 1 at% Ge. The symmetry and parameters of unit cells of β-BiMO4 and Bi5NbO15 crystals are clarified, data on the crystals polarity are obtaned
