P 700: a new streak ultra-fast tube with lamellar optics
Description
The P 700 is an ultra-fast streak tube with lamellar optics; it is derived from the P 600; for this tube, spatio-temporal resolution, deflection sensitivity and beam current have been optimized. P 700 design is based on the fact that a streak tube has two independent operations in separate planes - a temporal one in the perpendicular plane to the slit; - a spatial one in the plane of the slit with lamellar optics, the electronic beam focusing is possible independently in both of the planes. Separate optimization of temporal and spatial resolution is then allowed

Le P 700 est un tube ultra-rapide a balayage de fente et a optique lamellaire, derive du P 600, et pour lequel ont ete optimises la resolution spatio-temporelle, la sensibilite de deflexion et le courant de faisceau. La conception du P 700 est basee sur le fait qu'un tube a balayage de fente assure deux fonctions independantes dans des plans distincts: - une fonction temporelle dans le plan normal a la fente, - une fonction spatiale dans le plan de la fente. Avec une optique lamellaire, il est possible de focaliser le faisceau electronique independamment dans chacun de ces deux plans.
