Different channel contribution to emission of γ-quanta with Eγ ≥ 10 MeV from the natSn+40Ar reaction at the ion energy of 300 MeV

Description

To study different channel contribution to emission of high-energy γ-quanta, spectra of γ quanta with energy Eγ=4-20 MeV in coincidence with characteristic Xk radiation of residual nuclei were measured as well as Xk emission yield in a wide range Z=50-68 depending on γ quanta energy for natSn+40Ar (EAr=300 MeV). Angular anisotropy of γ radiation was measured in the same reaction in a wide range Eγ. The data obtained show that in γ spectra under investigation a marked contribution to the energy range Eγ=(8-16) MeV is given with γ quanta corresponding to multinucleon transfer reactions. In the energy range Eγ=(16-22) MeV γ quanta contribution corresponding to nucleus fusion turned out to be dominating. γ quanta yield increase was observed in the energy range Eγ=(8-16) MeV, they were emitted perpendicularly to beam direction. Isotropic angular distribution in the energy range. Eγ=(16-22) MeV was observed as well. A model of high-energy γ spectrum formation in reactions with heavy ions is suggested. The model is based on the assumption of giant resonance excitation in the mass transfer process in a double nuclear system. It explains qualitatively the presence of three energy ranges Eγ in γ spectrum and contribution of natSnt+40Ar reaction different channels to them. Dependence of γ quanta yield relation value at 0 and 90 deg angles to the ion beam direction on γ quanta energy clearly interpreted in the framework of the model
