Inverse scattering in one dimension for a generalized Schroedinger equation

  • 1. Dept. of Mathematics, North Dakota State Univ., Fargo, ND (United States)
  • 2. Dept. of Mathematics, Univ. of Cagliari, Cagliari (Italy)

Description

The generalized one-dimensional Schroedinger equation d2ψ/dx2+k2H(x)2ψ=Q(x)ψ is considered, where H(x)→1 and Q(x)→0 as x→±∞. The function H(x) is recovered when the scattering matrix, Q(x), the bound state energies and norming constants are known. (orig.)
