Chemistry of actinides and lanthanides. New extractants and separation methods
Description
Basic chemistry can still open new ways for actinides separations for analytical and industrial purposes. In this paper are discussed: reprocessing of spent nuclear fuels, for which dialkylamides seem to be an advantageous alternative to TBP; extraction of actinides from the high radioactive wastes acidic nitrate solutions by N,N'dimethyldialkylmalonamides which are extractants forming lower amounts of wastes than the carbamoylmethylenephosphonates; use of nitrogen or sulfur donors extractants for trivalent actinides lanthanides group separations which permits group separations from low pH nitric acid solutions
