Thermodynamic model of nucleus-nucleus collision process

  • 1. Moskovskij Inzhenerno-Fizicheskij Inst., Moscow (USSR)

Description

A symple thermodynamical model of the nucleus-nucleus collision process is suggested. In this model, nucleons are described in the relativistic mean-field approximation (the nuclear matter compressibility K≅210 MeV), and pions are treated taking into account the polarization of hot nuclear matter. The calculation results are compared with the available data. The achieved good agreement with the experiment gives rise to new arguments in favor of the soft pionic degree of freedom in a dense heated nuclear matter
