Galvanomagnetic properties of CeSi2-xGax Condo lattices

  • 1. Moskovskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ. (USSR)

Description

The Hall effect and transverse magnetic resistance are investigated in CeSi2-XGaX (X=0.5-1.3) Kondo lattices. Measurements are carried out in T=1.7-150 K temperature range and up to 60 kOe magnetic fields. Compositions with X=0.5-1 are the magnetic Kondo lattices, in which the temperature change of the Hall coefficient leaves a trace for the temperature dependence of magnetization; acute minimum at the magnetoresistance curves Δρperpendicular(T,H0)/ρ(T,H=0) is observed at the temperature of transition from the paramagnetic state to the ferromagnetic one. CeSi2-XGaX compositions with X>1 represent nonmagnetic Kondo lattices, for which anomalous growth of the Hall coefficient at low temperatures is well described by the Coleman, Anderson and Ramakrishnan theory
