Description

A useful preparation of an ethylenediamine derivative linked to d-glucose, 2,3-diaminopropyl β-d-glucopyranoside, has been described. The optically pure compound was obtained conveniently via recrystallization of the diastereomeric mixture of the diazido precursor. The stereochemistry of the ethylenediamino compound was elucidated by X-ray crystallography. (Copyright (c) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V., Amsterdam. All rights reserved.)
