Description
In-situ photo luminescence and Iono-luminescence set up at Nuclear Science Center (NSC) are discussed with their importance as a tool to investigate ion material interactions and their possible applications in engineering the defects. In preliminary experiments, by us, luminescence studies of ion irradiated LiF provided the information on the changes produced in the densities of the existing color centers and the production of new color centers. Study of luminescence dependence on the fluence gave the information on the dimension of zone of influence of each ion on different type of color centers. (author)
