Development of Transportation and Storage System for High Radioactive Material
Description
The goal of the first phase(2012-2014) is performance evaluation of transport/packaging/storage systems for PRIDE and ACPF and development of key equipments for packaging system and derivation of the optimal concept of transport/storage systems. Key research contents and results of the first phase for this project are as follows. - Development of PRIDE nuclear materials/wastes transport/packaging/storage system operation technology and performance evaluation - ACPF nuclear materials/wastes packaging/storage container design, fabrication and performance evaluation - Nuclear materials/wastes transport scenario analysis and optimization - Design and performance test of core inspection equipments for waste form packaging system - Analyses of waste form characteristics and storage management options, and derivation of integrated storage options PRIDE/ACPF transport/storage technology will be directly used during the operation of PRIDE and ACPF and used as design data for transport/storage systems of KAPF. The results of option study of the transport/storage systems and key equipment of waste form packaging system will be used as design basis data for the KAPF.
