Relationship between the opacity and homogeneous and inhomogeneous escape probabilities
Description
Homogeneous and inhomogeneous escape probabilities have been calculated from atomic absorption measurements. Twodistinct expressions for the homogeneous and inhomogeous escape probability given by kastner and kastner were calculated and compared with available values obtained by other authors. Calculations were performed using doppler line profile for a pair of copper resocance lines at 324.75 nm and 327.39 nm, respectively. The dependence of the homogeneous and inhomogeneous escape propbability, while referred to as the opacity ratio, on the optical depth has been discussed
