BWR type reactor

Description

An austenite/ferrite stainless steel is used for upstream of a condensate cleanup system and only austenitic stainless steel is used for the downstream. An iron concentration in feedwater is kept lower than 0.1ppb and a volume of a reactor cleanup system is increased, to remove Co before it is deposited on the surface of fuels. With such procedures, any of an ion 60Co concentration and a crud 60Co concentration in coolants can be kept low, thereby enabling to suppress radiation dose rate on the surface of equipments and pipelines.
