Determination of the optimal concentrations of stannous pyrophosphate for in vivo red blood cell labelling with technetium-99m
Creators
- 1. Health Sciences Centre, Winnipeg, Manitoba (Canada)
Description
The need to determine the appropriate injection volume of a stannous pyrophosphate preparation necessary to obtain good in vivo red blood cell labelling with subsequently injected 99sup(m)Tc-pertechnetate is demonstrated. The test described can be applied with equipment available in any nuclear medicine laboratory and requires approximately 30-45 min to carry out. (author)
