Description
In accordance with European Union directives, CRE publishes its annual report to the European Commission, outlining the main developments on the electricity and gas markets in 2023 and the first half of 2024. This document enables CRE to review its activities and the execution of its missions. In this period of gradual recovery from the energy crisis, the CRE has contributed to strengthening consumer protection and the operation of retail markets. It has also taken part in the reform of the European electricity market and improved supervision of wholesale markets. Last but not least, the regulator's action in favor of the energy transition continued, both at national level and with neighboring countries, as part of the development and operation of interconnections
Abstract (French)
Conformement aux directives de l'Union europeenne, la CRE publie son rapport annuel a la Commission europeenne qui presente les principaux developpements des marches de l'electricite et du gaz au cours de l'annee 2023 et du premier semestre 2024. Ce document permet a la CRE de revenir sur ses activites et l'execution de ses missions. Dans cette periode de sortie progressive de la crise energetique, elle a contribue au renforcement de la protection des consommateurs et du fonctionnement des marches de detail. Elle a aussi pris part a la reforme du marche europeen de l'electricite et a l'amelioration de la surveillance des marches de gros. Enfin, l'action du regulateur s'est evidemment poursuivie en faveur de la transition energetique, tant au niveau national qu'avec ses voisins dans le cadre du developpement et du fonctionnement des interconnexions
