LCAO cluster calculations for several (CuOsub(n))sup(m-) clusters appearing in the new high-Tsub(c) superconducting phases with perfect oxygen occupation and with oxygen vacancies are performed and the Cu-ionicity as well as the Cu-O bonding are investigated. No Cusup(III)-ionicity is found. Tight-binding parameters of the conduction bandstructure are presented. (author)
