Modification of the surface due to ion bombardment - an XPS study
Creators
Description
XPS valence band measurements have been used to observe the surface alteration of transition metal oxides due to Ar+ ion bombardment. V2O5 and MoO3 surfaces change under ion bombardment to lower oxidation states. Sputtering of Pd metals causes drastic XPS valence band changes
