Neutron absorber plates based on boron carbide and carbon and process for their manufacture
Description
The plates of large area are made by coking at 10000C with air excluded. A mixture of 75% by weight of B, B2O3, graphite powder and an organic resin binder, e.g. phenol plastic and a wetting agent is used as the initial material. The plates are resistant to neutron radiation of at least 1011 rad. (orig./HP)
