Description

The detailed level scheme of 11Be, including spin-parity assignments, has been established from a β-delayed decay spectroscopy of spin-polarized 11Li (Lig.s.11->βBe*11->nBe*10->γBeg.s.10). From the decay scheme of 11Be, neutron spectroscopic factors of the levels in 11Be have been determined. The present results have been compared with the predictions by the Anti-symmetrized Molecular Dynamics (AMD) theory, where various types of α-cluster states have been predicted for the excited states both in 11Be and 10Be. Some of the levels in 11Be show good accord with the 2α-cluster states in the rotational bands and with a single α-cluster state
