Description
The main environmental concerns, associated with the existence, the operation and the modernisation of hydroelectric powerplants are discussed here, on the basis of Hydro-Quebec's experience. The existing impacts can be considered in two categories: those linked directly to the very existence of the works and those linked to their operation. (Author)
