Description

Spin-related experiments with high-intensity kaon and hyperon beams that are expected to become feasible at LAMPF II are reported. Especially, ideas about the asymmetry measurements of β decay from polarized hyperons, the measurements of spin-dependent parameters of hyperon-nucleon scattering, and the search for strange dibaryons and K+N resonances with polarized proton and deuteron targets are described. Possible experiments of polarized hypernuclei using polarized nuclear targets also are pointed out. Recent developments of methods for getting pure spin states of several nuclei for these experiments are explained
