Polarized heavy ion reactions: some topics for the future

  • 1. Universidad de Sevilla (Spain). Facultad de Fisicas

Description

The validity of the Tidal Symmetry model is investigated. Ways of generalysing it to have a wider applicability are explored. Odd rank analysing powers and deviations of shape effect relations are discussed as perturbative effects of the Non-Isocentrifugal Potential Complex symmetry directions are introduced in connection with inelastic and transfer reactions. The obtention of Tidal Symmetry as a particular case in the group theoretical description of scattering, is discussed. New experiments with polarized ions relevant to these questions are suggested.
