Hydraulic conditions in drain channels of spraying devices

Description
Design of steam-and-water separating drums for RBMK type reactors is considered. Experimental study is made on basic parameters, dictating the hydraulic conditions in drain channels of separator spraying devices namely, the mass level of water or two-phase mixture to drain channel inlet, their hydraulic resistance and the limiting flow rate. Investigations were conducted for cylindrical shroud (2.6 m internal diameter, 1.5 m length) at atmospheric pressure with water and air-water mixture. The obtained results can be used for optimizing dimensions of drain channels of spraying devices for separating drums
