A simple picture for the behaviour of the lattice parameter in Heusler compounds

Description

The simple model previously suggested is extended to the case of three-site intermetallics like the Heusler compounds. The behaviour of the lattice parameter in several sequences of compounds can be qualitatively understood by considering the changes in the relevant d- (or p)-site occupation number. (orig.)
