Anomalous transparency of superconductors

Description
The penetration of an electromagnetic wave through a thick superconducting film (with a thickness much larger than the London depth or skin depth) is considered. It is shown that such penetration is possible due to the transformation of any incident eddy electromagnetic wave into a potential mode decaying at much larger distances. The amplitude of the wave transmitted t through the sample is calculated. The possibilities for the experimental observation of such an effect are discussed
