Study on the strength of ceramic materials under the action of stresses and temperatures

Description
The results of investigating single-phase yttrium oxide-based ceramic materials under static, mechanical, as well as linear and impact thermal loadings are presented. The variaitons of properites of these materials have been studied relative to variable specimen-making conditions. It was revealed that when the initial cracks appeared in the specimens subjected to thermal impacts, related variations of the strength and formability were registered, and the variations of elasticity were recorded only during a large material damage
