Accumulation of 65Zn by hydrophytes, and genetic effects in microalgae induced by this radionuclide
Description
The paper presents data on 65Zn accumulation by hydrophytes (for instance, Nitellopsis obtusa, Elodea canadensis, and Ceratophyllum demersum) under the effect of elevated temperature (up to 30-31 deg C) and substances used in nuclear energetics, such as EDTA, DTPA, and OEDP at a concentration of 50 mg/l, as well as genetic effects induced by 65Zn and its combinations with the above substances in populations of Chlorella vulgaris, Beijer, LARG strain. Genetic effects are estimated by the number of mutant and viable cells
