Calculation and analysis of dryout-induced thermal stress in LMFBR steam generator tubes
Description
It is inevitable that dryout takes place inside the heat transfer tubes in once-through LMFBR sodium heated steam generators, which may induce thermal stresses in the tube wall and thus causing fatigue failure to it. An analytical model for dryout as well as for thermal stresses in the heating tubes and its numerical solutions are both presented based on the ANL test data .Furthermore, some main conclusions are reached with respect to the influence of steam pressure, mass flux, temperature difference between sodium and steam on the thermal stresses
