Description

An economic production quantity (EPQ) inventory model for a multiproduct single-machine production system with stochastic scrapped production rate, partial backordering and service level constraint is proposed. This research work revisits this EPQ inventory model and identifies some technical inconsistencies in it. Additionally, some observations and corrections to the shortcomings are provided as well as the solution procedure is improved.
