Description
The La2Ca1Ba2Cu5Oz (La-2125) compound is obtained by the simultaneous addition of CaO and CuO2 to the non-superconducting La2Ba2Cu4Oz which has a tetragonal La1Ba2Cu3Oz (La-123) structure. The simultaneous addition of CaO and CuO2 results in a superconducting compound with a Tc of 72 K, which also has a structure similar to tetragonal La-123
