Description
KOLTSETRON section of a collective ion accelerator consists of superconducting accelerating cavities, superconducting solenoids forming axial magnetic field of the required configuration (approximately 2 T) along acceleration, and cryogenic system for cooling cavities and solenoids. Thermostatic processes are brought about by refrigerator of 240 W. The length of the section is 3.0 m. The expected energy of accelerated protons is 400 MeV. (Auth.)
