Volume and surface terms in mass formula from microscopic aspects

Description
We propose how to evaluate volume and surface terms in Weizsaecker mass formula from a microscopic point of view, which takes full account of the Pauli principle and an effective internucleon force simultaneously. In particular, it is pointed out that a treatment free from a spurious energy with respect to the c.m. motion of each nucleon/cluster is important in estimating surface energy. (author)
