Description
One-loop finiteness is studied in new open superstring constructions in D < 10. We show that in D = 2,5 the dilaton tadpole singularity cancels for a number of models with an appropriate choice of Chan-Paton gauge group. In other dimensions, cancellation of the dilaton singularity is not found within this construction. (orig.)
