Method to manufacture nuclear fuel powders with adjustable degrees of enrichment

Description

The initial materials such as, e.g., UF6 and UO2 (NO3)2, are already fed in appropriate part quantities into the conversion process. The conversion processes run according to the ammonium uranyl carbonate (AUC) or ammonium diuranate (ADU) principle. By doping the initial material in the first stage of the process, it is possible to obtain, via the flow quantity added of the former, an end product having the same isotope composition as the total amount of the initial material added. It is also possible to manufacture mixed nuclear fuels of U and Pu in this manner. (orig.)
