Description

Pollution from drilling activities is caused mainly by the discharge of drill cuttings and drilling fluids, and their processing onshore and offshore. Pollutants associated with drilling operations are poor degradable oil, chemicals, heavy metals and combustion products. The conference paper exemplifies and discusses methods of reducing pollutants from drilling operations on the Norwegian continental shelf. 7 refs., 2 tabs
