Stationary orbits of satellites of disk galaxies

Description
The balance condition for the oppositely directed forces of dynamical friction on a galactic satellite from a stellar disk and halo allows to calculate the position of the stationary nearly circular orbit of a disk galaxy satellite. For a large range of parameters of real galaxies and satellites the orbital radius falls in a narrow interval R=1.2-1.4 (R=1 - a stellar disk radius), which corresponds to observations
