Description
The possibility of using macroporous cation exchange resins for the purification of uranium from thorium after reprocessing of breeder fuel was investigated. Column experiments were performed to optimise the procedure for separating U from Th under process condition. Tulsion T-42 an indigenous resin gave product U containing 0.1% Th. A definite advantage of U purification with macroporous resins over the usual gel type resins was evident. (author). 9 refs., 1 tab
