Description
A problem with NaI-photomultiplier based gamma detection has been spectrum shift resulted from changes of temperature. Spectrum stabilization method based on light emitting diode (LED) is of obvious preponderance, whose key-technique is to keep the output light of blue LED being constant. Different driving methods for blue LED have been researched by theoretical analysis and experimental testing, and experimental results show that driving circuit of constant current pulse has better performance to drive blue LED for spectrum stabilization. This is valid for the accomplishment of spectrum stabilization of NaI(T1) spectrometer based on LED. (authors)
