Color coherence in multijet production in CDF and D0

  • 1. Northwestern Univ., Evanston, IL (United States)

Description

Evidence for color coherence in multijet production in pp-bar collisions is presented. These events were produced in the Fermilab Tevatron pp-bar Collider at a center of mass energy √s = 1.8 TeV and observed with the D0 and CDF detectors. Comparisons to several Monte Carlo event generators indicate evidence for color coherence in multijet production in both experiments. Preliminary comparison of the D0 data with an order αs3 prediction (JETRAD) suggests that multijet coherence effects may be largely accounted for at tree-level (2 → 3). (author)
